I've been re-discovering my love for Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates with Tim Curry as the voice of Hook.
As happens with a lot of things I "rediscover", I've begun researching the mythology of Peter Pan on Wikipedia. And I've come across some ideas that I'd never really entertained before--mostly some of the morbid overtones, and deathly connotations that story itself represents. So, I'm planning on making a series of Pan related artwork. It will be my own vision of that character (since there really isn't a standard of how he looks) and how he relates to the "real world"...which I'm hoping will come across as creepily as I read it.
I've looked through the deviations on here, and it looks like there is really only some fanart for the movie, and then just plain old costumes or character portraits. I'm hoping to use the characters in the story to illustrate some ideas about life.....or something like that. I'm hoping it will prove thought-provoking.
